Awards 2009

The Lebanese American University and its Alumni Association take much pride in announcing the recipients of this year’s Alumni Recognition Award & Alumni Achievement Award. 

The Selection Committee has decided to grant the Alumni Recognition Award to an exceptional alumni figure namely Ms. Hala Mikati Jabr ‘57 President of 11 Blood Banks of the Lebanese Red Cross and Member of the Tuberculosis Association and an active alumni member of the LAU Beirut Chapter. 

The Selection Committee has decided to grant the Alumni Achievement Award to yet another exceptional alumni figure namely Ms. Honey Al-Sayed ‘97, Number One Radio Broadcaster in Syria known as “Oprah of Syria” and Major Player in most of the self improvement programs that promotes hope and planning for a better future. 

The awards were distributed during the Homecoming Dinner that took place this year on July 11, 2009 at the Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai Hall.
