Ms. Honey Al-Sayed
Winner of the Alumni Achievement Award ‘09, Ms. Honey Al-Sayed ‘97 who majored in Liberal Studies and Communication Media from LAU, is a radio broadcaster portrayed as the Oprah of Syria hosting the number one radio show “Good Morning Syria” in the number one radio station in Syria.
She was described on the pages of Malibu Magazine in the USA, as Honey the Oprah of Syria! Her program “Good Morning Syria” was portrayed on the cover of LA Times as “the nation’s hottest radio show.”
Honey was chosen to represent Syria in a conference called “Creative Use of Media” in Washington DC. She says: “My dream is to bridge cultures in a time where humanity has been forgotten in the fight for politics. And what better place is there to do so but the media.”
