Alumni in Action in Times of Crisis with Alumnus Wael Arakji

Our incredible alumnus and basketball star, Wael Arakji, is leading the charge to support displaced communities across Lebanon during this ongoing conflict. He started by hitting the streets and provided breakfast for those in need.

With the help of generous friends, he began receiving donations of food and medication, which he distributed through local influencers. Together, they’ve established a fund that has raised $35k, set to benefit the Red Cross and schools sheltering displaced families. 

As Wael says, “I would like to start supporting the children also not only through donations but also to address their mental health through sports and interactive games. We are all in this together and we have to support each other.”
