Dr. Petra Khoury

Petra Khoury has a Doctor in pharmacy degree from the Lebanese American University and subsequently completed her pharmacy residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard University in Boston where she specialized in infectious diseases and thereafter completed the Quality, Safety, leadership and Informatics Program at Harvard Medical School. She held the position of Chief Quality and Compliance Officer at American University of Beirut Medical Center from 2012 until 2020 providing oversight over quality, safety, risk management, medico-legal, accreditations and regulatory compliance. 

She is a member of the National Hospital Accreditation Committee and Advisor to the prime minister on public health affair. Petra led the national committee for COVID-19 pandemic, developed healthcare policies and contributed majorly to the containment of coronavirus in Lebanon during the lockdown and post lockdown phases.
