Screening of the Award-winning Documentary “Octopus” with LAU’s very own alumnus and Film Director Karim Kassem
The Alumni Relations Office and LAU’s Arab Institute for Women jointly hosted the screening of the Award Winning Documentary “Octopus”, by LAU’s very own alumnus Film Director Karim Kassem (BA’12). The event took place on Friday, January 20 at 6 p.m. in Irwin Theatre, Beirut Campus. The screening was followed by a Q & A session with Mr. Kassem who displayed in “Octopus” his own personal perspective to the August 4 port explosion that destroyed a big part of the city of Beirut. The Alumni Relations Office presented Mr. Kassem with the Alumni Award of Excellence.
